Bio

Roger Shurtleff has lived in the Puget Sound region for his entire life. His career paths and interests have been many and divergent: bartender, forest ranger, pilot, mountaineer, writer, sailor, carpenter, and finally, painter.

Taking great pleasure in travel, and seeing art; architecture; and foreign cultures as inspiration, he has been to: Mexico, England, Italy and Hawaii, as well as much of the American west.

Roger has a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington, and an advanced certificate in Drawing and Painting from the UW Extension. He continues to make art in his studio in Seattle, Washington, were he lives.
